MAY DAY IS COMING AND THE GAME WILL CHANGE

Beginning May 1, 2025, a movement will establish a 24/7, non-violent demonstration on the National Mall in Washington, calling for the impeachment and removal of President Trump.

This will not end in a day; it ends in a removal .

“Mayday! Movement USA” is a grassroots coalition committed to upholding the U.S. Constitution by advocating for the impeachment and removal of President Donald Trump. Founded by concerned citizens on Reddit and expanded through partnerships with socially active organizations, it aims to establish a 24/7, legal, non-violent demonstration on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., beginning May 1, 2025. Its objective is to amplify a collective voice, educate the electorate, and participate in non-violent resistance to restore democratic integrity.

It began as a digital conversation among citizens alarmed by the Trump administration’s disregard for constitutional norms. This online dialogue evolved into a coordinated effort, uniting individuals and organizations under a shared commitment to democratic principles. Our movement is not a reactionary impulse but a deliberate response to a constitutional crisis, aiming to hold the President accountable for actions deemed treasonous and detrimental to the nation’s democratic fabric.

The movement jumps off from three core components.

Mobilize with sustained, peaceful protests to demand action from Congress.

Organize and collaborate with sister movements like 50501 and General Strike to strengthen the movement.

Amplify the platform for artistic and civic expression to engage and inform the public.

All activities are dedicated to non-violent protest and adhere to legal guidelines.

They argue that Trump has deliberately weakened the nation’s defenses against election interference, empowering actors. Shortly after taking office, his administration halted federal election security efforts, ordering the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) to suspend all election-security activities and cutting over 130 cybersecurity staff. This systemic dismantling of protections ignores warnings from U.S. intelligence that hostile powers continue to target U.S. elections.

Such actions directly violate the President’s duty to “take care” that laws (like the Help America Vote Act) be faithfully executed. “Instead of safeguarding voting systems, he has aided allies who undermined them.”

Trump has turned the constitutional pardon power into a tool to erase accountability for his allies’ crimes, striking at the heart of justice. On his first day back in office, he issued blanket pardons or commutations to over 1,500 individuals charged or convicted in the January 6, 2021, attack on the US Capitol.

Trump has wielded the powers of his office as a bludgeon against individuals he perceives as enemies – including nonpartisan public servants – in clear acts of personal vengeance. He has directed punitive investigations against individuals out of spite. He ordered the DOJ to investigate the former lead prosecutor in the Eric Adams case after she resisted his improper orders. He also publicly attacked and punished former officials like General Mark Mille.

He has undertaken legal actions against media outlets over unfavorable coverage; has dismantled oversight on corruption, defied the courts, illegally seized powers and threatened to prosecute political opponents.

Trump is also operating against the digital structure of the Internet itself – though he probably does not understand what his acolytes are doing on his behalf.

Jim Hedger does. Hedger is a writer, webmaster, social activist and a Board Member for “Mayday!” He heads up Digital Always Media Inc., a search and digital marketing business based in Canada. He is an expert at Search Engine Optimization (SEO), and can recall the days when there were about a dozen unique and major search engines, such as Altavista, Lycos, Northern Lights, etc. Then along came Google, a company that took all the information off everyone’s sites, and the search engine business exploded.

There is today a shrinking number of Googlites who actually understand how all their machines work together.

AI is creating knowledge structures that even the programmers had not considered. While Google has a massive lead in SEO, AI is changing the game in ways that have not yet been seen. Google is trying to impose authoritativeness and expertise in web content to control the information ecosystem.

No one really knows how deep that manipulation is going; no one is tracking it. The AI systems have been given an instruction and they are obeying the order: organize the flow of information on the Internet.

Starting May 1, 2025, Camp Mayday will serve as the epicenter of a continuous, peaceful protest to push back against this kind of control, and others like it.

Located within sight of the Capitol, this permitted encampment will host daily rallies and midnight vigils to honor the loss of human rights and lives under the current administration.

Trump is issuing more and more Executive Orders, and they form a smokescreen that makes no sense, according to Jorge Mujica, an organizer of the May Day protests and of “AriseChicago”.

Mujica said that Trump has made a mistake in attacking all the communities at once. When the modern Mayday first came about, in Chicago in 2006, it allowed the new movement to focus and plan. Chicago set the whole nation off on a series of protests that stunned the country then. By attacking all of the cities at the same time, Trump has triggered coalitions of teachers, students, workers and activists. He has 180 labor unions involved in the new turn-out. They are expecting 500,000 people to turn out.

Georgia Flowers Les of the United Teachers movement in Los Angeles sees the anti-Trump movement on May 17^th as a move to take their power back for the students, who are being driven away from diversity programs: “Diversity is our strength” and a way to level the playing field. What Trump is doing is not acceptable.

New Yorkers are angry that federal ICE officers are forcing local law enforcement to work on behalf of immigration restrictions.

All are united in their support for Sanctuary Cities laws, that protect immigrants and make the cities vibrant.

The May Day events will include rallies, marches, town halls and other actions against the "billionaire takeover" of the federal government. More than 1,100 protest events are scheduled in nearly 1,000 cities across all 50 states.

This month's Hands Off! and 50501 protests marked significant, grassroots resistance to the Trump administration and Elon Musk's influence in the federal government.

A virtual rally will be held at 8pm ET on Tuesday with representatives of the Working Families Party, Center for Popular Democracy and American Federation of Teachers. Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) will join a Philadelphia rally at 4pm ET on Thursday.

Separately, a coalition of organizers and advocates will "shut down the streets of Washington, D.C." on Wednesday in protest of Trump's first 100 days in office.

Trump may try to suppress the news, but tens of thousands of social media bloggers will carry it despite what he wants, Trump’s suppression will just launch a hundred new mass-media channels. There is no way he can win this fight.

In fact, it will only have one outcome.

The tyrant shall fall.

It will mark a new chapter in the history of democracy: government of the people, by the people, for the people…and AUTHORED BY the people.

The online world is coming to democracy – and it is very fierce.

It does not play well with dictators.
